Three acres of gardens surround our meeting rooms at Thrive Reading, where we run gardening therapy programs for people with additional needs. Based on a country estate in Beech Hill, about four miles south of Reading, we're a charity that happens to have some wonderful spaces perfect for your next meeting or workshop. We have three meeting rooms available that work brilliantly for different group sizes - from small team sessions right up to larger gatherings of 75 people. Each room comes with everything you need for productive meetings: Wi-Fi throughout, whiteboards for brainstorming, overhead projectors, and flipcharts. The natural light flooding in from the gardens creates a calm atmosphere that's quite different from typical meeting venues. What makes meetings here special is the setting. During breaks, your team can step straight out into our working gardens, where our clients and volunteers grow plants and create handcrafted items. If you're here on a Thursday, you can even browse our garden shop and pick up some of these plants or handmade pieces to take back to the office. We've made sure everyone can access and enjoy our facilities comfortably. The meeting rooms are wheelchair accessible, and we have dedicated disabled parking spaces and facilities throughout the site. Our peaceful environment particularly suits workshops focused on wellbeing, team development sessions, corporate retreats, and community gatherings. One thing to note - you'll need to drive here as we're on a private estate without public transport links. But once you arrive, you'll find the journey worthwhile. The combination of professional meeting facilities and therapeutic garden surroundings creates a refreshing change from conventional conference rooms, helping teams think more clearly and work together more effectively.
