Down the stairs beneath an old Spitalfields tailor's shop, our Main Bar occupies what used to be a fabric storeroom, complete with the original brick walls and timber rafters that remind you this space has stories to tell. We converted the old cutting table into our bar, where bottles line the shelves behind like bolts of cloth once did, waiting to become something better in our bartenders' hands. The room holds 60 standing or seats 25 comfortably across our collection of red velvet sofas and mismatched vintage stools we've gathered over the years. Each piece has its own character, from the worn leather armchair in the corner to the high stools that regulars claim first. The low ceiling creates that basement bar intimacy where conversations naturally draw closer, while our warm lighting picks out the texture in the brickwork without making anyone squint at their drink. For private parties, we hand over the entire space, turning it into your own underground retreat. Birthday groups love how the layout lets people drift between the bar and seating areas, while work gatherings appreciate how the music, Northern Soul and vintage Rock 'n' Roll played at just the right volume, helps break down the office hierarchy. The space works equally well for engagement celebrations where you want somewhere more interesting than a restaurant booth, or reunion drinks when old friends need a proper backdrop for catching up. Liverpool Street station sits just minutes away, with Spitalfields Market practically overhead. Brick Lane and Shoreditch are an easy walk, making us a natural meeting point whether your guests are coming from the City or East London. Our bartenders know when to share the story behind a forgotten cocktail recipe and when to simply keep the drinks flowing while your party takes over the room.
