The sun hits Tower Bridge through our wall of windows just as your guests arrive for drinks, and suddenly everyone stops mid-conversation to take in the view. We're perched on the first floor of the old Design Museum at Butlers Wharf, where the Thames bends to reveal everything from Canary Wharf's towers to the City skyline. Our Whole Venue hire transforms both floors into your private celebration space. Those floor-to-ceiling windows run the entire length of the restaurant, bathing your party in natural light during the day and framing the illuminated bridges come evening. When summer arrives, we slide open the glass doors and your celebration flows naturally onto our terrace, where guests gather with champagne while boats glide past below. The space itself adapts beautifully to different party styles. We can arrange elegant long tables for 120 seated guests, perfect for wedding breakfasts or milestone birthdays where everyone wants to catch up properly over dinner. For livelier celebrations, we clear the neutral wooden floors to welcome up to 170 people for standing receptions, with plenty of room for mingling between the bar, main space and terrace. Your guests arrive through our private entrance, heading straight upstairs without navigating through other parts of the building. This exclusivity, combined with our contemporary interior of clean lines and abundant natural light, creates the perfect backdrop whether you're planning a sophisticated cocktail party or relaxed birthday gathering. Our Head Chef crafts bespoke menus for each celebration, from formal three-course dinners to creative canapé selections that keep the party flowing.
