Our Cocktail Lounge sits tucked away on the first floor, where the energy of Mare Street fades into something more intimate. Up here, we've mixed vintage finds with contemporary pieces to create a space that feels like your coolest friend's living room, if they happened to have their own bartender and access to house-distilled gin. The room wraps around you with its eclectic artwork and plush seating arrangements, where leather sofas meet upholstered chairs in corners perfect for conspiratorial conversations. Large windows frame the Hackney streets below, flooding the space with natural light during afternoon gatherings before transforming into glowing beacons as evening falls. We can fit 60 of your friends standing or seat 30 comfortably for dinner, though most parties here tend to flow between both as the night progresses. Your own private bar anchors the space, staffed by bartenders who actually know the story behind every spirit they pour, especially the ones we've distilled downstairs. They'll shake, stir, and share tales of our gin-making process while keeping glasses filled throughout your event. The sound system handles everything from background jazz during canapés to proper party volumes later on, and yes, we can book you a DJ or you can simply plug in your playlist. Step through the doors onto our private roof terrace and suddenly you're above it all, Hackney spreading out beneath you. This outdoor space becomes yours exclusively when you book the lounge, giving your guests room to breathe between cocktails and conversations. The terrace works brilliantly for summer parties but we've seen hardy souls out there in December too, warmed by our gin martinis.
