Our Princess Ida and Patience room began life as two separate dining chambers, each with its own character, before we joined them to create this graceful space overlooking the River Thames. Through those grand windows, your guests will enjoy views across to the Embankment Gardens while dining beneath the warm glow of our original chandelier. The room comfortably hosts up to 32 guests around our banquet table, though we often reconfigure the space for different occasions. For boardroom meetings, we seat 24, while theatre-style presentations work beautifully for 30. When clients host cocktail receptions, we've welcomed up to 60 guests who appreciate the freedom to move between the fireplace area and the windows while taking in those river views. Period details define the character here, from the ornate wall mouldings to the gilded mirror positioned above the marble fireplace. We dress the long dining table with fine china and crystal, surrounded by our burgundy chairs that guests often mention add just the right touch of formality. The natural light that floods through those tall windows during lunch service creates a particularly inviting atmosphere, though evening dinners take on their own intimate quality when we draw the heavy curtains. The adjoining Pinafore Room provides additional flexibility when your gathering requires extra space, and our ground floor location means easy access for all guests. We're moments from multiple tube stations along the Strand, making arrival straightforward whether your party arrives from the City or West End. From corporate board meetings requiring absolute discretion to anniversary dinners where every detail matters, this room adapts to your specific requirements.
