The courtyard behind DOCUMENT brings Bristol's street art scene right to your event. Our 100-capacity outdoor space, YARD, wraps guests in vibrant murals created by local artists, turning every gathering into an immersive experience where industrial architecture meets creative expression. We designed YARD to work as both a standalone venue and an extension of our indoor spaces. When you book it alongside FACILITY or RECORD, your guests can flow naturally between inside and outside, creating different zones throughout your event. The picnic-style benches scattered across the space encourage people to settle in groups, share food from our mobile street vendors, and enjoy the artwork surrounding them. For seated dinners, we arrange tables for 62 guests among the street art backdrop. The murals become conversation starters, with each wall telling its own story through Bristol's distinctive graffiti style. Corporate teams love using the space for summer parties and team celebrations, while birthday groups appreciate how the outdoor setting creates a festival atmosphere in the heart of the city. Our alcohol licence runs until 11 PM, giving you flexibility for evening events. You control the soundtrack through your own DJ setup or curated playlists, with the courtyard's acoustics containing sound nicely within the space. The free on-site parking makes arrival simple for your guests, and full accessibility ensures everyone can enjoy the venue comfortably. Mobile food traders bring variety to your catering options, from wood-fired pizzas to Asian street food, all served fresh as your event unfolds. For photo shoots and pop-up activations, the ever-changing light throughout the day creates different moods against the colourful walls, while the industrial elements of our building add textural contrast to the artistic surroundings.
