About Churchill Theatre Bromley
The Churchill Theatre has been bringing brilliant shows to Bromley since 1977, and we're thrilled to welcome over 150,000 guests through our doors each year. Our 781-seat auditorium hosts everything from West End-bound musicals to world-class pantomimes, and the fully air-conditioned space means you'll stay comfortable whether you're watching a gripping drama in summer or a festive family show in winter. Beyond our main stage, we've created spaces that work beautifully for meetings and celebrations. The Lounge has become our most requested function room – it seats 80 for conferences with built-in projector and sound system during the day, then transforms into a party venue come evening. Previous guests have mentioned how impressed they were with this space, though do note that theatre staff occasionally need to pass through during daytime events. For smaller gatherings, our Wells Room accommodates 45 theatre-style and comes with its own projector and reception area for welcome drinks. Our recently refurbished Studio hosts up to 90 guests and doubles as both an event space and home to our weekly Creative Learning classes. We've also got two rehearsal rooms backstage with quality dancefloors and mirrored walls – perfect for workshops or pre-production rehearsals. Our two licensed bars can handle groups of 60 or 150, making them ideal for pre and post-event gatherings. Every booking includes access to our professional hospitality team, free Wi-Fi throughout, and a full range of audiovisual equipment. We've made sure wheelchair users can access all areas comfortably, and our main auditorium offers captioned and audio-described performances. Whether you're planning a conference, training day, or private celebration, we'll help create exactly what you need. The space is really impressive (The Lounge) and worked for what we needed. However, the theatre staff walking through the space during our meeting wasn't ideal. Make sure you head for Stage Door when you get there, as nothing is signposted!
