About The Spencer Arms
Right on the edge of Putney Common, we've been serving locals and visitors since becoming a proper community pub that knows how to throw a good party. The Spencer Arms combines the warmth of a traditional British pub with everything you need for your celebration, whether that's a birthday bash, wedding reception, or any gathering worth toasting to. Our venue works brilliantly for different group sizes. The Snug holds up to 20 guests - perfect when you want your own private corner but still feel part of the pub's atmosphere. For bigger celebrations, our restaurant area fits 40 standing guests comfortably, with plenty of room to mingle. Want the whole place to yourselves? We can accommodate up to 150 guests for exclusive hire, giving you run of the entire pub including our outdoor space. Speaking of which, from April through October, our outdoor benches overlooking the Common become an extension of your party space. There's something special about raising a glass while watching the sunset over the greenery. When winter rolls around, we light the fireplace and the whole pub takes on this wonderful glow - our sofas in the lounge area become the most sought-after spots. Food-wise, our chefs work with local suppliers to create proper British dishes that change with the seasons. We're particularly proud of our Sunday roasts (locals have been known to book tables weeks ahead), and we always have creative vegetarian options alongside our meat dishes. Behind the bar, you'll find carefully chosen real ales from local breweries plus everything else you'd expect for a proper celebration. We're child and dog-friendly too, because we know parties often include the whole family. Our team has hosted everything from 18th birthdays to golden anniversaries, and we understand that each celebration needs its own touch.
