The river sets the tone for every celebration at Harts Boatyard, and our Semi Private Dining Space brings that same relaxed riverside atmosphere indoors. This upstairs room sits tucked away from the main restaurant floor, with a curtain that pulls across to give your party its own corner of the pub while keeping the buzz of the place alive. Purple chairs circle the tables in this warm, welcoming space where patterned walls and local artwork create character without trying too hard. We've found the room works brilliantly for groups of 25 seated around our long tables, or up to 30 when folks prefer to stand with drinks and chat. The big windows let daylight pour in during afternoon parties, while evening celebrations take on a cosier feel with our soft lighting picking out the artwork and table settings. The layout adapts to what you need - we can arrange long tables for family-style dining or break things up into smaller groupings when people want to mix and mingle. Wine glasses catch the light on tables dressed with fresh flowers, ready for toasts and good conversation. Being upstairs gives you that bit of separation from the main bar whilst still feeling connected to the energy of the whole place. Getting here couldn't be easier with Surbiton station just a short walk away, and our spot on Portsmouth Road means your Greater London guests won't struggle to find us. Free parking on-site takes the stress out of arrivals, with accessible spaces available too. Our kitchen sends up the same honest pub food we're known for downstairs - proper portions, seasonal ingredients, nothing too fussy.
