Walking through the ornate doorway of our Picture Gallery feels like stepping into a Victorian collector's private salon. We've hosted celebrations here surrounded by one of Britain's finest collections of Victorian art, with masterpieces by William Powell Frith, Edwin Long, and Edwin Henry Landseer watching over festivities from their gilded frames. The gallery transforms beautifully for different occasions. For formal dinners, we arrange round tables dressed in crisp white linens across the polished wooden floors, each table topped with fresh floral arrangements. The space comfortably seats 120 for banquets, though we can accommodate up to 200 guests for standing receptions where people tend to mingle between admiring Briton Rivière's dramatic canvases and John Brett's luminous landscapes. Natural light pours through the tall arched windows during daytime events, illuminating the artwork's intricate details and creating an atmosphere that photographers particularly love. As evening falls, our chandeliers cast a warm glow that brings out the deep reds in the wall accents and makes the gold frames shimmer. The high, vaulted ceilings give even intimate gatherings a sense of occasion. Located within our Grade I listed Founder's Building in Egham, Surrey, the Picture Gallery offers both Victorian grandeur and practical modern touches. We're 40 minutes from London Waterloo, with straightforward access from the M25, M3 and M4. Heathrow Airport sits just 20 minutes away, convenient for guests travelling from further afield. Free parking is available on site, and we can arrange accommodation in our campus rooms for those who'd prefer to stay overnight after the celebration.
