The Folly sits at the heart of our gardens, a stone pavilion that has watched countless couples begin their married lives beneath its classical columns. Built as a romantic gesture centuries ago, it now serves a rather fitting purpose as our outdoor ceremony space, accommodating up to 140 guests who gather on the lawn to witness your vows. We've arranged the space thoughtfully, with white chairs set in neat rows across the manicured grass, creating clear sightlines to the raised platform where you'll stand. The white aisle runner cuts a clean path through the centre, practical for wedding dresses and nervous fathers alike. Our grounds team tends these lawns with particular care, knowing how many photographs will capture this exact spot. The structure itself frames ceremonies beautifully, its weathered stone and climbing greenery providing natural decoration that changes subtly with the seasons. Morning ceremonies catch spectacular light through the columns, while afternoon services benefit from the dappled shade. We've installed a proper PA system, discretely positioned so your words carry clearly to back-row aunts without visible speakers spoiling photographs. Access runs smoothly from our main building through level garden paths, suitable for wheelchairs and those less steady on their feet. The surrounding beds burst with seasonal colour, maintained by our gardeners who seem to have an uncanny ability to time blooms for wedding weekends. These 35 acres of private grounds mean no unexpected dog walkers or curious passersby, just your celebration in peaceful seclusion. After your ceremony, the gardens flow naturally into drinks reception spaces, with plenty of spots for group photographs without everyone traipsing too far.
