Our Grand Ballroom transforms from a quiet, carpeted expanse into Glasgow's most sought-after event space when filled with guests. At 11,349 square feet, this is one of Scotland's largest hotel ballrooms, where we've welcomed everyone from Fortune 500 companies hosting product launches to couples celebrating with 900 of their closest friends and family. The room catches your eye with its soaring 17-foot ceilings and warm chandeliers that create pools of golden light across the rich blue and gold colour scheme. During daytime events, natural light filters through, softening the formal atmosphere while keeping the space bright enough for networking without relying entirely on artificial lighting. When evening falls, those same chandeliers transform the ballroom into something rather special for gala dinners and award ceremonies. We've designed the space to work harder than most. Three retractable partitions mean we can create more intimate spaces within the ballroom, perfect when you need breakout areas during conferences or want a separate cocktail reception space before dinner. The built-in sound system and projection equipment handle everything from CEO presentations to wedding speeches, while our stage has hosted everything from awards presentations to live bands. The patterned carpet might seem like a small detail, but it's specifically chosen to hide the inevitable spills during cocktail receptions while complementing our classic décor. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable even when we're at full capacity of 1,500 for theatre-style presentations or 900 for banquet dining. Being on the ground floor means easy access for suppliers bringing in exhibition stands or florists creating elaborate centerpieces. Our cloakroom handles the inevitable pile of coats during Scottish winters, and with both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations just a short walk away, your guests can arrive by train from Edinburgh or London without fuss.
