The Wickens Suite sits on the first floor of our rugby club, where the L-shaped layout creates different zones that work brilliantly for both intimate wedding breakfasts and buzzing birthday parties. Up to 200 people can mingle here with drinks in hand, or we can seat 180 comfortably for dinner around round tables dressed in white linens. Step through the glass doors onto our private balcony and you'll see why this room is special - the main rugby pitch spreads out below, giving your guests somewhere to catch their breath between dancing or during drinks receptions. We've draped the ceiling with fabric and added subtle lighting that transforms the space when evening falls, while the parquet floor and exposed brick walls keep things grounded and warm. Our events team sets up the room exactly how you need it. For wedding receptions, we arrange the round tables with your choice of sash colours and work with florists to create centerpieces that match your theme. Birthday parties often start with the tables pushed back for a buffet service, then we clear the floor for dancing. The PA system handles everything from background music during dinner to full party playlists, and our air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable even when the dance floor fills up. The bar stays open until 11:30 PM, stocked with local ales alongside wines and spirits. Our kitchen handles all the catering in-house, whether you're after canapés and prosecco, a three-course wedding breakfast, or a proper hog roast. We cater for all dietary requirements including halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free options.
