The Reception & Dining Rooms at Merchants' Hall create the perfect backdrop for celebrations in the heart of Clifton. Our Steinway piano takes centre stage in the Reception Room, where gilt-framed paintings and carefully preserved antique furnishings set the tone for your event. During afternoon parties, sunlight streams through the tall windows, while our Georgian chandeliers cast a warm glow as evening approaches. We've configured these interconnected spaces to flow naturally from cocktails to dinner. The Reception Room works beautifully for welcome drinks and mingling, before your guests move through to the Dining Room where we can seat up to 90 for a formal meal. Those magnificent chandeliers overhead have witnessed countless toasts and speeches, adding their own sparkle to birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and wedding receptions. Our flexible layout means we can arrange the rooms exactly as you need them. For cocktail parties, we accommodate up to 120 guests moving freely between both spaces. Prefer a more intimate celebration? We'll set up cabaret-style seating for 60, perfect for parties where guests want to chat across tables. The French doors open onto our terrace and garden, giving your celebration that indoor-outdoor feel that works so well for summer parties and evening receptions. Every practical detail has been considered, from our built-in PA system for speeches and music to the projector for sharing memories or presentations. The Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected, and we've got plenty of parking spaces right here on site.
