The First Floor Gallery transforms with each exhibition, and right now we're watching guests react to the interplay between contemporary art and celebration. Up to 250 people can mingle amongst the current installations, or we arrange theatre seating for 100 when you need everyone focused on a presentation or performance. Those soaring ceilings create drama without trying. Natural light pours through the large windows during daytime events, while evenings let the artworks glow under gallery lighting. The polished concrete floors reflect both light and sound in interesting ways, and the white walls become a backdrop that changes character depending on what's displayed. We've hosted everything here from tech launches where the art sparked conversation between delegates, to wedding receptions where couples posed for photos against unexpected splashes of colour. Corporate dinners for 60 work beautifully, with round tables positioned to give everyone a view of the artwork. The space adapts, whether you're planning cocktails and canapés or a formal seated dinner. Our location in Brindleyplace puts you walking distance from Birmingham New Street, with hotels and restaurants filling the surrounding streets. The gallery sits within our neo-gothic building, mixing heritage architecture with contemporary creativity.
