Summer 2022 brought us something special when we unveiled The Orangery, transforming what was once underused garden space into our most requested room. Those floor-to-ceiling windows we installed? They frame the kind of views that make guests pause mid-conversation, particularly when morning light catches the lakes or sunset paints Ely Cathedral in the distance. We've hosted everything here, from 40-person board meetings around our central table to 180-guest cocktail receptions spilling onto the garden terraces. The parquet floors we chose handle both corporate presentations and dancing feet equally well, while the wooden beams overhead add character without overwhelming the space. That fireplace becomes a natural gathering point during winter celebrations, though summer parties tend to flow straight through the glass doors onto our terraces. The room adapts remarkably well to different moods. Morning strategy sessions benefit from all that natural light, afternoon wedding breakfasts feel intimate despite accommodating 120 seated guests, and evening parties transform the space entirely when our chandeliers dim and the PA system kicks in. We've configured it for theatre-style presentations, U-shaped workshops, cabaret dining, classroom training, you name it. Our tech setup keeps things running smoothly, Wi-Fi throughout, flatscreen TV for presentations, full PA system ready to go. The garden access means bands can load equipment directly, caterers appreciate the flow for outdoor canapés, and photographers love the flexibility. Free parking removes arrival stress, and our Cambridgeshire location puts you close enough to civilisation while feeling properly removed from it. The Orangery works because it doesn't try too hard.
