Emmaus Bristol provides a home and work experience to 25 formerly homeless people. We rent our board room out to generate income for the charity, to help people out of homelessness. The meeting room comfortably seats 12 around the table. If you prefer a different layout, just let us know. It's a bright room with large windows along one wall. There are toilets just across the corridor from the meeting room, which are shared by the upstairs offices. You are welcome to use the kitchen on the same floor to make tea and coffee, though you should bring your own supplies of food and drinks and mugs/ plates (you are welcome to borrow ours if you want to but best to notify us in advance so that we can set enough aside). Please note that the kitchen is shared with the office. We have car parking on Backfields Lane which you can book through www.justpark.com or alternatively you can use the parking meters on Upper York Street. Between 9:30am and 5pm you can use the shop entrance but outside of those hours please ring the bell for first entry. Once inside, you will need a key card to come and go, for which we take a REFUNDABLE deposit of £10 - just return the card and we'll give you the deposit back before you go.

Unprofessional building in a charity shop, no clean mugs to use so we had to wash up ourselves before we could make our own tea/coffee. No confidentiality, had real trouble accessing the building in the first place and had to pay £10 just to get a pass to get in and out...

My absolute favourite room to hold meetings and events at a great venue, a vibrant Bristol area, lovely people around you, brilliant value, easy booking, free use of kitchen, very accessible, beautiful, clean, friendly decoration and furniture, excellent value for money

The perfect room for a social enterprise or charitable business to hire. In an iconic Bristol area, friendly, proactive people helping you getting the best out of your meeting, event or conference.

Good location close to city centre, with easy access to parking - but do need to pay for parking unless you park 10 mins walk away. Board room was well lit, plenty of space and didn't seem cramped. Teas and coffee point and toilets on same floor - easy access with lift.
