This 57-square-metre room has hosted everything from intense boardroom negotiations to creative workshops, with our team regularly reconfiguring the space to match each group's specific needs. The room comfortably seats 60 in theatre style, though we often arrange it for smaller gatherings, perhaps 24 around our boardroom setup or 25 in classroom formation. Many clients prefer the U-shaped arrangement for 28, which encourages discussion while keeping presentations visible to everyone. For more informal sessions, we can create a cabaret layout accommodating 41 guests. While Ashdown 1 doesn't offer sea views, the patterned carpet and thoughtfully placed lighting create a focused environment that our regular clients particularly appreciate. The blue cushioned chairs provide comfort during long sessions, and we always ensure fresh white linens dress the tables. You'll find all the presentation tools ready, from our LCD projector and microphone to traditional flip charts and whiteboards. A lectern stands ready for speakers, and we keep markers and other supplies well-stocked. The air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable year-round, particularly important during summer conferences.
