About 1 Wimpole Street
The grand mahogany doors at 1 Wimpole Street have welcomed guests since King George V and Queen Mary first opened them in 1912. Today, we maintain that same sense of occasion whether you're hosting a board meeting for twelve or a celebration for three hundred. Our building spans over fifteen distinct spaces, each with its own character. The Max Rayne Atrium draws everyone's attention immediately - natural light pours through the vaulted glass ceiling, creating an atmosphere that works brilliantly for networking events and cocktail parties. We can accommodate up to 200 guests here, and the acoustics are surprisingly good despite all that glass. For presentations and conferences, we offer three purpose-built auditoriums. The largest seats 300 comfortably, with tiered seating that ensures everyone has clear sightlines. Our in-house AV team handles everything from microphones to multi-screen presentations - they've won awards for their work, and honestly, they make our lives so much easier. The smaller rooms have their own appeal. The Toynbee-Mackenzie ENT Room and Wheatley Room work perfectly for board meetings or training sessions. We've already equipped them with conference phones, flipcharts, and stationery, so you can focus on your agenda rather than hunting for markers. Our kitchen team sources ingredients from local suppliers, preparing everything from working lunches to formal banquets. They're particularly good at dietary requirements - just let us know what you need. Getting here couldn't be simpler. We're right in the W1 district, with Oxford Circus and Bond Street stations both just a few minutes' walk away. Most of our guests comment on how easy we are to find, especially those coming from overseas. Whether you're planning a product launch, wedding reception, or strategy session, we have the space and experience to support it.
