The old boot factory machines have been silent for decades, but we've filled these walls with a different kind of energy at Artist Residence Bristol. Our Georgian townhouse and converted factory in St. Pauls have become a creative hub where meetings flow into celebrations and workdays blend into social evenings. We've kept the industrial bones of the building intact while creating 23 distinct rooms throughout the property. Each space tells its own story through vintage furniture we've collected, reclaimed materials from the original factory, and artwork from Bristol artists who've become part of our extended family. Our smallest "Shoebox" rooms pack personality into intimate spaces, while "The Lookout" duplex sprawls across two floors with its own rooftop terrace overlooking the city. Our meeting and event spaces reflect this same mix of heritage and functionality. The Library downstairs welcomes groups of up to 30 in a bright, relaxed setting perfect for creative workshops or team gatherings. The Boot Factory bar and kitchen spans the ground floor, where your morning coffee meeting might turn into lunch at the communal tables, and afternoon brainstorming sessions happen around the ping-pong table. When evening arrives, the photobooth starts clicking and the courtyard garden fills with conversation. For larger celebrations or corporate events, we open up the Blue Room - our atmospheric basement space that holds up to 80 guests. The exposed brick walls and moody lighting create an entirely different feel from the daylight-filled spaces above. Throughout the building, we've installed the practical touches that make events run smoothly: Nespresso machines in every room, Roberts radios for ambiance, and organic Bramley products in the bathrooms. Our kitchen serves seasonal menus all day, with craft cocktails and local beers keeping the creative energy flowing well into the evening.
