The moment you step down into our Victorian-era space at 27A Foley Street, you know you're somewhere extraordinary. We've spent two years carefully restoring what was once a public toilet built in 1890, and yes, those really are original Doulton & Co porcelain urinals you'll be sitting in. They've been converted into cozy seating booths that never fail to spark conversation among our guests. Our original Victorian floor tiles still gleam underfoot, telling the story of this building that lay dormant for over fifty years before we brought it back to life. During the day, we serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch until 4pm, with everything from our seasonal home-style menu prepared in the Attendant Kitchen. The coffee comes from our own roastery - we brew seasonal espresso blends and single-origin filters through V60 Drip or AeroPress, always with organic unhomogenised Estate Dairy milk. If tea's more your style, we stock The Rare Tea Co. loose leaf varieties. When evening arrives, the space transforms completely. From 7pm to 11:30pm any day of the week, we open our doors for private parties and events. The intimate underground setting creates an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else in Fitzrovia - those preserved Victorian features become talking points as your guests discover they're partying in a piece of London history. Just minutes from Goodge Street station, we're easy for everyone to reach. We keep things relaxed here - no reservations during café hours, just turn up and grab a seat. Dogs are welcome too. For private events, the entire space becomes yours for the evening, offering an exclusive experience in one of Central London's most unusual venues.
