About Boulevard Brasserie
Since 1991, Boulevard Brasserie has been serving French classics to Covent Garden, and we've become part of the fabric of this theatre district. Our three floors buzz with conversation from morning through late evening, whether it's business lunches upstairs, pre-theatre dinners in the main restaurant, or private celebrations in our atmospheric cellars. We're tucked away on Wellington Street, just 50 yards from the Piazza and practically next door to the Royal Opera House. The building itself tells a story - each floor decorated to capture that particular 1960s Paris Theatreland feel, with warm lighting and classic brasserie touches that transport you straight to the Left Bank. Our kitchen team focuses on getting the fundamentals right. The Steak Tartare is prepared traditionally, the Boeuf Bourguignon slow-cooked until the meat falls apart, and the Moules Marinière arrive steaming with fresh bread for the sauce. We change elements of the menu with the seasons, but these cornerstone dishes remain because our regulars wouldn't forgive us if we removed them. The Prix Fixe menu runs daily from noon until 6:30pm, perfect for those catching matinees or early evening performances. For parties and private events, we have two distinct spaces. The first floor works beautifully for groups up to 35 seated or 50 standing - it's where we also serve afternoon tea in what we call our Tea Parlour. The cellars offer something completely different: stone walls and intimate lighting create real atmosphere for larger gatherings of up to 75 seated or 120 standing. Our location means we see everyone from tourists exploring Covent Garden to lawyers from nearby chambers, theatre-goers grabbing pre-show dinners to locals who've been coming here for decades. Each floor has its own character, making Boulevard Brasserie perfect for everything from quick business lunches to leisurely celebration dinners.
