The original bank vault at Cheval The Edinburgh Grand now houses our guest gym—a detail that never fails to surprise first-time visitors to our 42 St Andrew Square property. We've transformed this historic former bank building into 50 serviced apartments, from studios to three-bedroom penthouses, each maintaining the architectural grandeur while providing modern comforts like fully equipped kitchens and spacious living areas. Our event spaces carry the same attention to detail. The Games Room welcomes up to 50 guests, with those massive windows overlooking St Andrews Square creating a backdrop that photographs beautifully during cocktail receptions or seated dinners. We've hosted everything from milestone birthday celebrations to intimate wedding receptions here, and the natural light streaming through really sets the mood for daytime gatherings. The Directors' Suite offers a more intimate setting, while The Register Club on the fourth floor serves double duty—by day it's where we serve breakfast and afternoon tea to residents, but we can transform it into an exclusive party venue complete with our extensive cocktail menu. The original period features throughout these spaces, from ornate cornicing to restored wood paneling, give every event that Edinburgh elegance our clients are looking for.
