About Colwick Hall Hotel
The moment you turn into our tree-lined drive at Colwick Hall Hotel, you'll understand why Lord Byron's family chose this spot centuries ago. We're fortunate to care for this Palladian-style Georgian mansion, which sits on over sixty acres of parkland in Nottingham, with roots stretching back to Saxon times. Our Georgian architecture creates an atmosphere that modern venues simply can't replicate. For weddings, couples often tell us they fell in love with the sweeping staircase and the way natural light fills our reception rooms. The Lakeside Pavilion has become our showpiece for larger celebrations - this grand marquee overlooks the country park and comfortably hosts up to 550 guests. We've seen everything from traditional church weddings to corporate award ceremonies transform this space. Each of our bedrooms tells its own story through unique design touches. Some rooms overlook the lake where morning mist creates quite a scene, while others face our formal gardens. Business guests particularly appreciate the quiet setting for focused meetings, away from city distractions. Byron's Brasserie serves what we call proper British food. Our kitchen team prepares traditional afternoon teas with homemade scones, hearty Sunday lunches that draw locals and guests alike, and evening menus featuring modern British dishes. We've noticed conference delegates especially enjoy taking their coffee breaks on the terrace when weather permits. For meetings and conferences, our smaller rooms work well for board meetings or training sessions, while the main function spaces handle product launches and company presentations. The combination of historic surroundings and modern presentation equipment seems to inspire productive sessions - at least that's what our regular corporate clients tell us.
