About Delfina Foundation
Our two interconnected Edwardian townhouses at 29/31 Catherine Place have been fostering creative exchange since 2007, right here in the heart of central London, just a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace. We've transformed these historic buildings into London's largest international residency provider, where artists, curators, and writers from around the world come to develop their practice and share their work. The ground floor houses our 1,650-square-foot event and exhibition space – a blank canvas that's hosted everything from intimate artist talks to full-scale exhibitions and experimental performances. The high ceilings and natural light create an atmosphere that lets artwork breathe while maintaining the warmth of the original architecture. We regularly open this space for public programming, including screenings, workshops, and discussions that bring together our residents and the local community. Throughout the buildings, we maintain eight bedrooms for our residency program, which runs for up to three months at a time. Our communal kitchen becomes a natural gathering point where creative conversations happen over coffee, while the library and resource room provides a quieter space for research and reflection. When the weather cooperates, our outdoor terrace offers another dimension for events – we've hosted summer receptions and informal gatherings here that spill out from the main exhibition space. As an independent, non-profit foundation, we focus on thematic programming that addresses critical issues in contemporary art and everyday life. This approach means our event space regularly transforms to accommodate diverse creative expressions – from video installations to participatory workshops. Whether you're planning an exhibition opening, a panel discussion, or a performance piece, our flexible spaces and experience with international artists help bring creative visions to life.
