Our doors at Didcot Civic Hall have been welcoming the community since 1979, when Sir Ashley Ponsonby, former Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, officially opened this Britwell Road landmark. We underwent a complete transformation in 2011 with a £1.3M refurbishment that brought contemporary functionality to our historic building while keeping its community heart intact. We're owned by Didcot Town Council and managed by the Didcot Civic Hall Management Committee, ensuring we remain a true community resource. Just a 15-minute walk from Didcot Parkway Railway Station, we make it easy for everyone to reach us. If you're driving, you'll find our large car park particularly convenient - it's completely free when you're using our facilities. Our spaces adapt brilliantly for whatever you need. We regularly host everything from intimate board meetings to full-scale conferences, and our halls transform just as easily for birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, christenings, and engagement parties. Throughout the week, you'll find our rooms buzzing with dance classes, martial arts sessions, slimming clubs, arts and crafts groups, and various sports activities.
