The Grand Ballroom's soaring renaissance pillars frame your celebration like a theatrical backdrop, while original hand-painted details catch the light from our restored Murano glass chandeliers overhead. We've been welcoming guests to this Grade II listed space for more than 155 years, and the 364 square meters still creates that same sense of occasion whether you're planning a wedding for 300 or a corporate conference for 275. Our six-meter-high ceilings give the room real breathing space - something our wedding couples particularly love when they see their florals reach toward those sparkling chandeliers. The ballroom flows naturally into the Portland Foyer, where we usually set up welcome drinks, and during summer months, guests tend to drift out to our Courtyard Garden with their champagne. We can arrange the space however works best: theatre-style rows for presentations, round tables for gala dinners, or clear the floor completely for dancing. Working with Michel Roux Jr. means our kitchen creates menus that match the grandeur of the space - his double Michelin-starred approach brings something special to every plate we serve. Our events team handles the details, from the initial walk-through to coordinating with your suppliers on the day. We've hosted everything here: product launches that use our dramatic pillars as projection surfaces, wedding receptions where the bride's train swept across the original parquet, corporate awards filling every corner with conversation. The Langham's central London location means your guests can easily reach us, and we're used to working with photographers who love capturing the interplay between our historical architecture and contemporary celebrations.
