About Hand and Spear Pub + Hotel
Fire crackles in our Victorian fireplace while groups gather round the sofas, planning their celebrations over pints of real ale. The Hand and Spear in Weybridge has been hosting parties since our building first welcomed guests, and we've learned a thing or two about creating the right atmosphere along the way. Our pub spreads across several distinct areas, from the main bar with its original features to more intimate corners where smaller groups can claim their own space. The large garden really comes into its own for summer parties - we've set it up with cushioned furniture and a BBQ that gets plenty of use when the weather cooperates. Groups often spill out onto the terrace, drinks in hand, especially during birthday celebrations and engagement parties. We serve up proper British pub food that works brilliantly for party platters - think sharing boards of our pies, fish & chips done right, and bangers & mash that always goes down well with a crowd. Our bar stocks everything from local craft beers to fine wines, and we're happy to arrange specific drinks for your group in advance. For overnight celebrations, we have 12 boutique bedrooms upstairs. Each room features Hypnos beds (trust us, your guests will thank you the morning after), Nespresso machines for that essential coffee, plus Sky TV and air-conditioning. We've accommodated plenty of wedding parties and birthday groups who appreciate having comfortable beds just a staircase away from the festivities. The private rooms work particularly well for more formal celebrations or when you want your own dedicated space. We can arrange bespoke menus and help coordinate the details - we've been doing this long enough to know what works. Getting here couldn't be easier - we're right by Weybridge train station, just 30 minutes from Central London. Your guests can leave their cars at home and enjoy themselves properly.
