About Landing Forty Two
Five hundred feet up, on the 42nd floor of the Leadenhall Building, we run the UK's highest dedicated event space. Our team at Landing Forty Two manages 5,000 square feet of completely pillar-free space where glass walls stretch from floor to ceiling, giving your guests those views of the Thames and City skyline that always get people talking. The space itself works brilliantly for different setups - we regularly host conferences and receptions for up to 300 people, or seated dinners for 220. The lack of pillars means we can configure the room exactly how you need it. Our LED lighting system changes color to match your event mood, and the sound system has different zones so you can have presentations in one area while guests network in another. Getting here is half the experience - Europe's fastest scenic lifts whisk your guests up in seconds, and that view as they step out never fails to impress. The building's distinctive steel structure (you know, the one everyone calls 'The Cheesegrater') creates this interesting inside-out aesthetic that photographers love. For catering, we work exclusively with Create Food & Party Design who handle everything from working lunches to formal dinners. They know our space inside out and have developed seasonal menus that work perfectly up here. The production setup is already in place - high-speed internet throughout, that LED system I mentioned, and full AV capabilities for presentations or entertainment. We're right in the financial district with Bank, Aldgate, Monument, Liverpool Street and Fenchurch Street stations all nearby, so your guests have plenty of transport options. The minimal design of the space means it works as a blank canvas - we've hosted everything from tech product launches to anniversary celebrations, and each event feels completely different.
