About Milestone Academy
Our students head home at 3pm each day, and that's when Milestone Academy transforms into something special for the community. During evenings, weekends and school holidays, we open our doors to local groups who need accessible, well-equipped spaces in New Ash Green. As a special needs school caring for 365 SEN students with our team of 250 staff, we've designed every corner of our building with accessibility in mind. Our hydrotherapy pool stays heated year-round - theatre groups love the acoustics in here for rehearsals, while local swimming instructors run classes in the evenings. The water temperature and specialized equipment make it perfect for both therapeutic sessions and community activities. Our meeting rooms work brilliantly for language classes and tutoring sessions. Each room has natural light, adjustable furniture that can be arranged however you need it, and interactive whiteboards that tutors particularly appreciate. We've hosted everything from small business workshops to community committee meetings in these spaces. The sports hall is our largest venue space, with high ceilings and marked courts that adapt to different activities. Local sports clubs use it for training, drama groups set up temporary stages, and we've even had craft fairs spread across the entire floor. The sprung flooring means it's comfortable for extended activities, whether that's badminton practice or dance workshops. Getting here couldn't be easier - we have extensive parking including designated disabled spaces right by the entrance. Every area connects through wide, level corridors with clear signage, and we maintain lift access to all floors.
