About Ministry of Stories
Behind the enchanting Hoxton Street Monster Supplies shop, we've created something special at The Ministry of Stories - a meeting space where creativity flows as freely as the stories we help young people write. Our main workshop comfortably seats 35 people around seven tables, with plenty of natural light filtering through to keep everyone engaged during those long training sessions or presentations. We've equipped the space with everything you need for productive meetings: a projector for presentations, speakers for clear audio, and a traditional chalkboard that somehow sparks better brainstorming than any whiteboard we've tried. Our small kitchen keeps the tea and coffee flowing, and yes, that's a real book vending machine in the corner - it's become quite the conversation starter during networking breaks. The whole building transforms beautifully for larger gatherings, accommodating up to 50 people standing. With 40 chairs and two benches, we can configure the space to suit your specific needs, whether you're running intimate workshops or hosting book launches. Air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable year-round, and we've made sure everything is fully wheelchair accessible, including one of our two toilets. We open our doors for hire every Monday and Friday throughout the year, and Monday through Saturday during school holidays. Workshop facilitators particularly appreciate the creative atmosphere - there's something about being surrounded by storytelling magic that gets people thinking differently. Many groups enjoy browsing the monster shop during breaks, picking up peculiar gifts while supporting our cause. Every booking directly funds our free creative writing programs for local young people. When you meet here, you're not just getting a unique venue - you're helping us nurture the next generation of writers and thinkers.
