Deep beneath St. James's Street, we've created something quite special at Mistress of Mayfair - a basement restaurant that feels more like stepping into a secret Parisian salon than your typical London party venue. Our space wraps guests in rich burgundy and deep pink tones, with velvet seating that practically begs you to settle in for the evening. We built our venue around the idea that parties should feel both intimate and electric. The basement setting gives us natural acoustics that work brilliantly when our DJs take over the booth - yes, we have a proper DJ setup with a state-of-the-art sound system that transforms the space from sophisticated dining room to underground party spot as the night progresses. We can accommodate 110 guests seated or pack in 220 for standing receptions, making us surprisingly flexible despite the cozy atmosphere. Our kitchen specializes in modern French Mediterranean sharing plates - think seared diver scallops, Seabass Dugléré, and grilled poussin. We're particularly proud of our luxury ingredients like lobster, caviar, and truffle that elevate any celebration. The bar stocks an impressive selection of fine wines and champagnes, plus our bartenders craft classic cocktails that complement the Parisian vibe we've cultivated. While we host everything from corporate events to product launches, we really come alive during celebratory dinners and cocktail parties. The ambient lighting system lets us adjust the mood throughout the evening, shifting from professional networking atmosphere to full party mode. Our location near Green Park tube station means guests can easily slip away from Mayfair's main thoroughfares and discover our hidden entrance. We're open for exclusive hire from 7:00 PM onwards, giving you complete control over your event from dinner service through to those late-night DJ sets that have become our signature.
