About Old English Inns - Grosvenor Hotel
We've been welcoming guests to The Grosvenor Hotel since 1822, right here on the High Street in Stockbridge. Our Georgian building has grown into quite the collection of spaces over the years - 34 rooms spread across the Main House, the Mews, and even a three-bedroom Tap Cottage. Each one mixes original features with the comfort business travelers need today. For meetings, we primarily use our River Room, which opens onto the Terrace when weather permits. The space works well for corporate groups who appreciate the change from typical conference centers. We've hosted everything from board meetings to training sessions here, with the Market Room Restaurant and 1822 Bar just steps away for lunch breaks or post-meeting drinks. Being in England's smallest town has its advantages - we're surrounded by the River Test valley, which means your team can take proper breaks between sessions. Some groups go fly fishing or take walks through our walled garden. Others prefer staying inside with coffee and our seasonal menus featuring ingredients from local suppliers. The Main House holds 18 rooms if you need overnight accommodation for attendees, with another 13 in the Mews for larger groups. We've found the mix of room styles helps when you have different preferences within the same company booking. Dogs are welcome too, which matters more than you'd think for longer corporate stays. Our location puts Winchester and Salisbury within easy reach, plus the New Forest for those wanting to extend their stay. The combination of meeting facilities and varied accommodation makes us particularly suitable for multi-day corporate events, team building sessions, and executive retreats where you need both productive workspace and comfortable downtime options.
