About Pizza East Shoreditch
We started serving wood-fired pizzas from our corner spot in the Tea Building back when Shoreditch was just beginning to transform. The old tea warehouse on Shoreditch High Street and Bethnal Green Road has become our home, where exposed beams meet concrete walls and the original wooden floors creak under the constant flow of hungry locals and visitors. Our kitchen runs on Italian principles - we make everything fresh, from the antipasti that changes with what looks good at the market to the pizzas that emerge charred and bubbling from our wood oven. The lasagne follows our chef's family recipe, and we pour Italian wines that actually complement the food rather than just fill glasses. Downstairs, our bar transforms after dinner service, with DJs from Rinse FM taking over the decks and turning the space into something completely different. When companies book our event space, they get the whole package - we can fit 250 people standing for launches and parties, or set up proper seating for 40 when you need everyone around tables. The space works just as well for birthday parties as it does for corporate presentations. We've also carved out Work East upstairs, our co-working area where members grab free coffee while tapping away on laptops, then head downstairs for lunch with their membership discount. Our deli counter stocks the Italian cured meats and cheeses we use in the kitchen - regulars stop by in the morning for espresso and biscotti, then return later to pick up some mortadella or pecorino for dinner at home. It's this mix of dining room, bar, workspace, and neighborhood deli that keeps our corner of Shoreditch buzzing from morning through late night.
