About Proud Embankment
The grand double-height atrium at Proud Embankment stretches up through two floors, where aerial performers twist and spin above your guests during events. We're tucked right under Waterloo Bridge between Somerset House and the Savoy Hotel, with the Thames flowing just outside our doors. Our Art Deco interior combines gilded touches from contemporary Singapore with the velveteen sensuality of 1920s Paris. Dark oak parquet floors reflect the warm glow of gold detailing throughout the space, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and theatrical. We can seat 450 guests for dinner or host up to 750 people for standing receptions and parties. What makes Proud Embankment special for events is our ability to transform throughout the evening. We regularly stage cabaret and burlesque shows, complete with circus performers and drag acts that use every inch of our soaring atrium. For private parties, we can arrange similar entertainment or let you create your own program using our state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. Our technical team stays on-site to help everything run smoothly. The Pan-Asian menu works beautifully for different event formats - from passed canapés during cocktail hours to full seated dinners paired with performances. As the night progresses, we can shift the space into nightclub mode, keeping the party going until 5 am with our late license. We've hosted everything from weddings where couples exchange vows beneath the soaring ceiling, to product launches that use our theatrical lighting to dramatic effect, to corporate conferences that break up presentations with surprise aerial acts.
