About Quarter House Beer & BBQ
BBQ smoke drifts through the open windows at Quarter House Beer & BBQ on 11 Stevenson Square, right in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. We've built our reputation on proper smoked meats and cold beers, served up in a space where you can actually hear your mates talk over the indie and rock tunes playing in the background. Our sun terrace spans most of the building's width - it's one of the biggest outdoor spaces you'll find in the Northern Quarter. During summer, we pack it with groups celebrating birthdays and work parties, while our indoor booths fill up with folks tucking into ox cheek tacos dripping with beef fat mayo. The Love from the Streets crew runs our kitchen, and they've won awards for good reason. Their night market chicken comes slathered in mango hot sauce, and even the cauliflower bites get the full treatment with Black Cow Vodka and cheddar dipping sauce. We pour 14 different beers and ciders on draught, plus another 20-odd bottles and cans from breweries across Manchester and beyond. Our bartenders mix up straightforward cocktails that actually taste like what they're supposed to, and we've picked wines that work with BBQ rather than fight against it. For parties and events, we can section off different areas - the BBQ zone, our patio, or the entire beer garden. We've hosted groups from 50 to 100 people standing, with our projector, flatscreen, PA system and DJ gear all ready to go. Wi-Fi runs throughout if someone needs to sneak in a work email between ribs. We're open Monday to Thursday noon till midnight, Fridays till 1am, Saturdays from 10am to 1am, and Sundays 10am to midnight. Kitchen serves till 9pm most days, 6pm Sundays. Takeaway runs till 9pm too, except Sundays when we give the delivery bags a rest.
