Walking through the doors of the Richard Hoggart Building, you'll find yourself in one of Goldsmiths' most versatile spaces for meetings and conferences. We've been hosting everything from board meetings to academic symposiums here, and each room offers something different depending on what you need. Our Great Hall remains the showpiece - we can seat 720 people here for large conferences or keynote presentations. But we know most meetings don't need that scale, which is why we also offer our lecture theatres and classrooms that work perfectly for training sessions, workshops, or departmental meetings. The 101-seat cinema has become particularly popular for presentations that need high-quality audio-visual capabilities. What sets us apart for meeting planners is how we've configured the spaces. The Refectory and Balcony areas transform beautifully for networking breaks or working lunches - we find delegates appreciate having somewhere different to continue conversations between sessions. Our Conference Services team handles all the logistics, from room layouts to technical requirements, so you can focus on your content rather than worrying about the details. We're right in New Cross, which means your attendees can reach us easily from both New Cross and New Cross Gate stations. The building has full wheelchair access with lifts serving all floors and accessible facilities throughout - something we made sure to prioritize when updating the historic structure. Our catering team works directly with meeting organizers to create appropriate menus, whether that's a simple coffee service or a full day's catering package.
