About Richmond Athletic Ground
Our two function rooms at Richmond Athletic Ground offer the perfect backdrop for both corporate meetings and private celebrations. Since 1886, we've been hosting events across these 26 acres of green space right in the heart of Richmond, just a five-minute walk from the station with its fast trains to Waterloo, Clapham Junction, and Reading. The Murray Judd Room opens onto a patio through bi-fold doors, giving you and your guests direct views of our main pitch. We've installed a bar that runs the entire length of the room, making it particularly popular for wedding receptions and birthday parties. For board meetings and training sessions, the Club Room provides a more neutral setting with windows stretching along one side, overlooking our front pitches. Both rooms come equipped with everything you need for presentations and conferences - large flat-screen TVs, full AV setup, wireless microphones, lecterns, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. We regularly host corporate training days, AGMs, private parties, wedding receptions, and memorial gatherings. Beyond our function rooms, the grounds themselves have become a sought-after location for commercial filming and photoshoots. We can accommodate crew parking for up to 300 vehicles, and production companies often use our facilities as their base. Magazine shoots and advertising campaigns frequently take advantage of our mix of historic architecture and open spaces. Throughout the year, we welcome thousands of visitors to major public events including our famous Richmond Fireworks Display, the Summer Social festival, and Oktoberfest celebrations. As the home ground for Richmond Rugby and London Scottish Rugby, we also host international Rugby Sevens tournaments and school sports events.
