About Riverside Hotel
The Riverside Hotel sits right on the banks of the River Trent, where our 19th-century building has watched the water flow past for generations. We're particularly proud of our private island - yes, you read that right - which you can see from many of our windows and explore when the weather's nice. Our gardens stretch all the way down to the water, and we maintain coarse fishing rights for guests who enjoy angling. Walk through our doors and you'll spot the original oak beams overhead and feel the warmth from our open fireplaces - features we've carefully preserved while updating everything else for comfort. We have 23 en-suite bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, comfortable beds, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Your four-legged friends are welcome too; we've set aside specific rooms where dogs can stay. Our Garden Room Restaurant opens onto the Riverside Terrace, where we serve everything from quick lunches to proper pub dinners. The kitchen team prepares meals fresh daily, and behind the bar you'll find cask ales alongside our wine selection. The space works beautifully for weddings - we can accommodate up to 150 guests across our function rooms, with those river views providing a natural backdrop. For meetings and conferences, we offer the same capacity with all the necessary facilities, plus the advantage of a peaceful setting away from city noise. We're in Branston village, just outside Burton-on-Trent's centre, making us easy to reach while still feeling like a proper escape. The National Brewery Centre and Ashby de la Zouch Castle are both nearby if you want to explore between meetings or extend your stay into a weekend break.
