Our Victorian building on Thomas Street has been serving Manchester's Northern Quarter since its original construction, and we've worked hard to preserve that heritage while creating a space that feels right for today. Walk through our doors at 35-37 Thomas Street and you'll find original features alongside comfortable modern furnishings that make The Bay Horse Tavern perfect for your private celebrations. We've become known for our gin collection - over 50 varieties line our back bar - and our rotating craft beer taps feature both local Manchester breweries and interesting finds from further afield. Our kitchen serves up proper British pub food, from our caramelized onion tart with creamy goat's cheese to beer-battered haddock with triple-cooked chips. Sunday roasts are a particular point of pride, with Yorkshire puddings made fresh that morning and all the traditional accompaniments. For private events, our Dining Room provides a semi-private space away from the main bar area. We can seat 30 guests comfortably for dinner parties or accommodate up to 40 for standing receptions. The room comes equipped with a 42" TV screen and sound system, which works brilliantly for everything from birthday celebrations to informal business presentations. We've hosted engagement parties, reunion dinners, and team gatherings - the flexible layout means we can adapt the space to suit your needs.
