The British School Room has been bringing people together on Cliff Road since 1844. We've watched generations of Sherston residents pass through our doors—from Victorian schoolchildren learning their letters to today's Yak & Yarn knitting group sharing patterns over tea. Our main room adapts beautifully to whatever you need. The high ceilings and large windows create an airy workspace that feels nothing like a typical meeting room. We've hosted everything from corporate training sessions to drawing classes, and the space transforms effortlessly between professional presentations and creative workshops. The recent refurbishment kept all the character while adding the essentials: reliable Wi-Fi, a large drop-down screen, projector, and audio equipment that actually works when you need it. Being just 5 miles from Malmesbury and Tetbury puts us in the perfect spot—close enough to the M4 (junctions 17 and 18 are only 7 miles away) but far enough to feel like you've escaped the office. Our disabled facilities mean everyone can access the space comfortably. Throughout the week, we're home to the Sherston Community Choir rehearsals, the Toddlers Club chaos (in the best way), and various educational workshops. This mix keeps the building alive with different energies—from focused morning meetings to lively afternoon sessions. The adaptable interior means we can set up for a boardroom-style meeting one day and arrange chairs in a circle for community discussions the next.
