From up here on Portsdown Hill, we get to watch the seasons change across Portsmouth's coastline while serving pints and hosting celebrations. The Churchillian has been our home for years, and we've seen countless wedding receptions, birthday parties, and business meetings unfold in our Seaview function room. Our recently refurbished beer garden has become quite the gathering spot, especially when the weather cooperates. We've installed a fully licensed outdoor bar that pours six draught beers alongside cocktails and gins - it saves everyone traipsing back inside. Dogs are always welcome too; we keep water bowls ready and have met some wonderful four-legged regulars over the years. The Seaview function room works brilliantly for private events. We can fit 130 people standing or seat 60 comfortably, and having its own bar, toilets, and street entrance means your party stays private while still feeling connected to the pub's atmosphere. We've hosted everything from wedding receptions to corporate training days here. The panoramic views across to the Isle of Wight and Hayling Island certainly help set the mood. In the main pub, we stick to what we know works - proper pub food and real ales. Our kitchen team prepares classic dishes, and we keep high chairs and a children's menu ready since families often pop in during kitchen hours. The HD screens come in handy for match days, and we schedule live entertainment regularly. Practical bits: we've got accessible toilets, baby changing facilities, and free Wi-Fi throughout.
