We've poured over £1 million into bringing our historic bones into the modern era while keeping every bit of character that makes this place special. Our 24 bedrooms each tell their own story through individual styling, but they all share the essentials: proper comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, Freeview television, tea and coffee facilities, and Wi-Fi that actually works throughout the building. After the 2016 refurbishment, we made sure every room feels like a retreat, whether you're here for a wedding weekend or exploring the Yorkshire Dales. For celebrations and gatherings, our Ballroom transforms beautifully for up to 120 guests. We've hosted everything from grand wedding receptions with dancing until midnight to corporate presentations where the Georgian windows flood the space with natural light. The King's Room offers something more intimate—perfect when you need a private dining space or a smaller ceremony setting. Our kitchen team works closely with local suppliers to create seasonal menus that showcase what North Yorkshire does best. The restaurant flows naturally into our bar and coffee house, where the atmosphere shifts from morning espresso meetings to evening cocktails by the original fireplace. Being right on Market Place means Richmond Castle sits practically on our doorstep, and the Dales begin where the town ends. We're perfectly placed for wedding photos against castle ruins or for your guests to explore between ceremony and reception.
