The grand Victorian staircase at The Lawrence Hotel catches everyone's eye first - its carved banisters have welcomed guests since this Grade II listed building opened its doors over 200 years ago. We've transformed this historic Padiham landmark into a boutique hotel that keeps its original character while giving you all the modern comforts you'd expect. Our three function spaces work brilliantly for different party sizes. The intimate rooms handle 15 people comfortably for baby showers or birthday gatherings, while our largest space opens up for wedding receptions with up to 130 guests. Each room has its own personality - original fireplaces here, restored ceiling roses there, all paired with contemporary lighting and décor that complements rather than competes with the heritage features. We're particularly proud of our 14 bedrooms, where your party guests can stay overnight. Every room tells its own story, from our cozy Snugs perfect for couples to the Aya duplex suite that spans two floors. We've fitted each with rainfall showers, Simba mattresses, and Nespresso machines because we know the little luxuries matter after a celebration. The Courtyard restaurant becomes part of your event too. Our chefs work with Lancashire suppliers to create menus that reflect the seasons and our local area. Sunday roasts are a particular hit with wedding parties recovering from the night before. The bar area flows naturally from the main event spaces, giving your guests spots to catch up between dancing or speeches. You'll find us on Church Street, just off the M65 and walking distance from St Leonard's Parish Church - handy for ceremony and reception in one trip. We're dog-friendly too, so your four-legged family members can join the party.
