Our Georgian building stands proudly behind St. Mary's Church in Handsworth, where we've been hosting Sheffield's most cherished celebrations for over 40 years. The Old Rectory's Grade II listed architecture creates an atmosphere that modern venues simply can't replicate—original features blend with our recent refurbishments to give you spaces that feel both grand and welcoming. We've carefully preserved three distinct function rooms within these historic walls. The Main Hall serves as our largest space, complete with its original built-in stage that transforms corporate presentations and wedding speeches into something special. The Ballifield drawing room floods with natural light through tall Georgian windows, while the Bramley lounge offers something more intimate, centered around its impressive original fireplace. Depending on your needs, we can accommodate 140 guests for a seated dinner or up to 200 for standing receptions. Our grounds provide that rare combination of privacy and accessibility in Sheffield. Behind our gates, you'll find ample parking spaces and private outdoor seating areas where guests naturally gather during warmer months. The fully stocked bar keeps drinks flowing throughout your event, and while we don't have bedrooms here, we work closely with several nearby hotels to arrange accommodation for your guests.
