About The Recreation Centre
Our Meeting Room at The Recreation Centre on Shardlow Road offers a peaceful workspace above the bustle of Aston-on-Trent's community activities. From up here, you'll work with views across the cricket pitch through the balcony windows - particularly pleasant during summer matches when the gentle sounds of play drift through. We've recently refurbished the space to accommodate 24 people comfortably, with fresh paint and updated fixtures creating a professional yet welcoming atmosphere. The room comes equipped with Wi-Fi throughout, and our kitchenette provides everything needed for refreshment breaks - kettle, cups, and basic facilities for tea and coffee service. For longer sessions, we can arrange catering options to keep your team fueled. The only consideration is that access is via stairs, so please let us know if any attendees have mobility requirements. Once upstairs though, you'll find a private, quiet environment perfect for focused work sessions, training days, or board meetings. Being part of The Recreation Centre means you're sharing the building with our regular community activities. Table tennis happens downstairs on Monday evenings and Thursday mornings, while Derbyshire Dragons run their martial arts classes on Thursday and Friday evenings. During daytime meetings, the building tends to be quieter, though you might occasionally hear activities from the Main Hall below, which hosts groups of up to 120 people. Our countryside location means there's always plenty of free parking available right outside - no hunting for spaces or feeding meters. The rural setting also provides a refreshing change from typical office environments, with many groups finding the cricket pitch views and village atmosphere conducive to productive discussions and creative thinking sessions.
