About The Rep and Library of Birmingham
At Unique Venues Birmingham, we manage some of the city's most distinctive spaces across two architectural landmarks: the Library of Birmingham and The Rep theatre. Our portfolio spans everything from the dramatic five-story Book Rotunda to intimate Victorian meeting rooms, each offering something different for your event. The Book Rotunda stands as our showpiece—a circular space that rises five stories high, where we've hosted everything from gala dinners to product launches. Natural light floods through the glass walls, creating an atmosphere that photographs beautifully. For smaller gatherings, our Shakespeare Memorial Room features original Victorian carvings that add character to board meetings and intimate ceremonies alike. We're particularly proud of The Terrace, where guests can step outside and take in panoramic views across Birmingham's skyline. It works brilliantly for drinks receptions or as a breakout space during conferences. Inside The Rep, The House auditorium seats up to 800 delegates theatre-style, while The Studio offers a more flexible layout for workshops and performances. Our team provides dedicated event coordinators who work with you from initial booking through to the day itself. We've invested in professional AV equipment throughout our spaces, and our iPad communication system means you can reach staff instantly during your event. Clients particularly appreciate our catering service—refreshments arrive exactly when scheduled, and our team stays attentive without being intrusive. We host corporate conferences, training sessions, wedding ceremonies, celebration dinners, and theatrical presentations. Each space comes with its own character, from the contemporary design of the Library to The Rep's dramatic auditoria. As a partnership between Birmingham City Council and The Rep (a registered charity), all profits support Birmingham's cultural scene, meaning your event contributes to the city's creative future.
