Step inside our Edwardian building on 19 Greville Street, right in the heart of Hatton Garden, and you'll find yourself surrounded by over 500 single cask whiskies that tell stories from distilleries across Scotland and beyond. We're The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, and our Members' Room strikes that perfect balance between refined comfort and genuine warmth - think leather armchairs meets lively conversation over drams. Our contemporary interior spans two floors, with the main Members' Room buzzing with whisky discoveries and the private Tasting Room upstairs offering a more intimate setting. That second-floor space holds up to 21 guests, making it perfect for those whisky masterclasses, corporate gatherings, or birthday celebrations where you want something a bit special. The exposed beams and modern touches create an atmosphere that works equally well for serious tastings or relaxed celebrations. Beyond our extensive whisky collection, we pour craft beers, artisanal spirits, carefully crafted cocktails, and wines for those exploring different flavours. While we don't serve full meals, we offer a selection of distinguished flavours to complement your drinks. Our calendar stays packed with whisky tasting experiences, Outturn previews, and masterclasses - some exclusively for members, others welcoming curious newcomers. We open Tuesday through Friday from 3pm to 11pm, and Saturdays from noon to 9pm. Everyone must be 18 or over, and we ask that you dress smart-casual - tailored knee-length shorts are fine, but please leave the flip-flops at home. Whether you're planning a whisky-focused party, a unique business meeting, or an educational tasting session, our team can help create an experience that goes beyond the typical venue hire.
