Wood Street's our patch, and we're the spot where City workers actually let their guard down. I'm assistant manager here, been with the team four years, and I still love how the vibe shifts through the day – calm morning coffees to absolute scenes on a Thursday night. Our Love Lounge upstairs is the secret weapon. Private bar, room for 120, and you can completely take over the space without feeling cut off from the energy downstairs. We had a law firm do their summer party up there last month – karaoke system, custom cocktails, the works. Downstairs stays open to the public unless you want the whole venue, which we do for weekend bookings. Breakfast meetings happen daily (full English sorts out most hangovers too), and we're properly set up for it – good coffee, fast service, screens if you need them. Come 3pm, the suits start loosening ties and by 6pm it's properly social. Families eat here until early evening, then it's all about the after-work crowd. St. Paul's is literally three minutes away, Moorgate about the same. We're that reliable option when you need somewhere central that won't let you down.
