About The Tabernacle
The grand Romanesque façade of The Tabernacle catches your eye as you approach our building on Powis Square. We've been part of Notting Hill's cultural landscape since Victorian times, and today our Grade II-listed building houses everything from intimate meetings to full-scale theatrical productions. Our main theatre space transforms depending on what you need - we can accommodate 499 people standing for concerts and parties, or arrange seating for 270 guests when you're hosting presentations or performances. The original architectural details create an atmosphere you won't find in modern conference centers, while our technical capabilities meet all contemporary event requirements. For smaller gatherings, our meeting room on the second floor overlooks the garden courtyard and comfortably seats 25 people. The natural light streaming through the windows makes it particularly popular for daytime workshops and board meetings. Meanwhile, our dance studio on the first floor features sprung wooden floors that dancers love, along with full-length mirrors and air conditioning that keeps everyone comfortable during intensive sessions. Artists regularly exhibit in our gallery space, where we've installed adjustable spotlights that show artwork in its best light. The space is fully wheelchair accessible, as is the rest of our building through our two lifts - one near the main entrance and another past the ground floor toilets. Between sessions, your guests can grab coffee or lunch from our bar and kitchen. We serve throughout the day, with seating inside or out in the garden courtyard where people often continue conversations started during meetings. The courtyard becomes especially lively during evening events when guests spill outside between performances.
